Our lessons
Our teaching approach focuses on the essential details of Kizomba and on a comprehensive understanding and application of these important details. This includes, among other things, the correct leading techniques and following. For this reason, we are happy to explain things in English and French as well as German, if needed.
Each lesson follows a clear structure. The lessons build upon each other, so regular attendance is beneficial. The course levels offered also build upon one another.
Kizomba courses
Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced
Every dance begins with the first step, and we'll accompany you every step of the way.
We will quickly familiarize you with the basic steps of Kizomba, so you can soon move confidently to the music at your first Kizomba parties. You will learn the core components of Kizomba. Suitable for: Participants with no or little prior knowledge, as well as those who want to refresh their basic skills. Course content: Posture, leading & following; basic steps: Basic 1 2 3, Virgula, Retrocesso, Estrella, Corridinho, Ida e Volta, Tarraxinha, ladies' and men's Saida, simple step combinations, and more.
Each participant achieves their individual goal at their own pace!
Our courses/levels build upon each other. Intermediate Level I - Suitable for: Participants of our beginner courses or those joining from other levels who can confidently dance the material covered in our beginner course. Intermediate Level II - Suitable for: Participants who have completed Intermediate Level I or those joining from other levels with excellent footwork and confidence in leading and following, and at least 1.5 years of dance experience. Course content: Footwork is further developed, technique training, the art of walking (walking technique) and body expression are practiced, additional figures and various combinations as well as Saida variations are learned, tempo changes, redirections, first simple dips, and Tarraxhina movement are further practiced.
Your Kizomba journey began with the first step. Your journey continues. Because to travel means to grow and to learn.
This level builds upon the intermediate level. Suitable for: Participants of our Intermediate II course or dancers with very confident footwork and a solid foundation in leading and following, and at least two years of dance experience. Learning content: Advanced figures and combinations at a sophisticated level; special emphasis is placed on dance attitude and musical interpretation, footwork, and technique training.

Stepping into the other role means mastering one's own role even better and improving and expanding one's dance skills.
This will change your perspective and help you understand what matters from a different point of view.
Partner dancing is communication between two dancers. To have a true dialogue, you have to understand the other person's language. The language in dance is called "leading and following".
Leading means showing the way through impulses and body language; following means receiving impulses and implementing them correctly with one's own body. Both partners are constantly interacting and reacting with each other.
That means:

We work very compactly and intensively on a topic within a limited timeframe.
